When you say "Just place a plane in front of the camera and set the level to 1," what does this mean? Also, how do I make sure it has an emissive material? Thanks!

In the occlusion tab of the Line Art modifier under the "Range" Tickbox, you have the "Level" setting. If you hover over it with your mouse, small arrows appear on either side with which you can change the value from the default 0 to 1.

To make it emissive, apply a new material and replace the PrincipledBSDF shader node with an emission node.
